Joseph COPELAND.13. Nicholas COPELAND
was born about 1645. Nicholas Copeland was born in 1638 in Isle of Wight
Co., VA. He died on 17 Mar 1720 in Essex Co.,VA. Will page 138-139-
Will of Nicholas Copeland of the county of Essex being very sick and weak
in body,dated 9 Oct. 1712.
Unto Ann, my beloved wife the division of land where I now live and all my
personable estate so long as she shall remain a widow.
Unto my grandson Nicholas Copeland the division of land where I now live after
my wife's decease. If he should dye without heirs, then my granddaughter Mary
Brown. If she should dye without heirs to return to my grandson Charles Atkinson.
Unto my grand daughter Mary Brown one hundred and seventy acres of land adjoining
to the land of James Boulware.
After my wife's decrease my personable estate shall be divided into three parts.
One-third unto my grandson Nicholas Copeland, one-third unto my grand daughter
Mary Brown and the remainder to be equally divided amongst the rest of my grandchildren.
Unto my daughter, Ann Phillips one shilling.
My beloved wife Ann Copeland executrix.
Nicholas (N) Copeland
He was married to Elizabeth TABERER before 1675. Elizabeth
TABERER was born on 31 Dec 1643 in Isle of Wight Co., Va. She was born about
1645. She died in 1715 in Isle of Wight Co., Va. Nicholas COPELAND and Elizabeth
TABERER had the following children:
