in Randolph Co, AR. MRS. LIZZIE FIELDEN DIES - Sarah Elizabeth (Lizzie) Fielden
of
Pocahontas, one of Randolph County's oldest residents, died Friday at
her home here at the age of 103. Born in Randolph County, Nov. 15,
1881, she was the widow of Wm. A. Fielden. Mrs. Fielden was the last
member of the remarkable family of Samuel Moore Hufstedler and his
second wife, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Pyland Hufstedler, who had 12
children. The family was to become known for its longevity, with
seven of the children living to the age of 90 or past, one dying at
the age of 89, and the remaining four dying at less advanced ages.
Following are birth dates of each of the Hufstedler children and ages
at death. Each is listed in order of birth: 1. James Elihu
Hufstedler, born Jan. 1865 died 1919, age 54. 2. George Hufstedler,
died young. 3. Cullen Pyland Hufstedler, born 1868 died 1958, age 90.
4. Martha Susan Hufstedler, born Dec. 1869 died 1972, age 103. 5.
Margaret N. Hufstedler, born 1872 died 1930, age 58. 6. Nancy Jane
Hufstedler, born 1875 died 1973, age 98. 7. William Walter Hufstedler,
born 1877 died 1974, age 97. 8. Richard Jefferson Hufstedler, born
1879 died 1973, age 94. 9. Sarah Elizabeth Hufstedler (Mrs. Fielden),
born Nov. 1881 died June 1985, age 103. 10. Mary Ellen Hufstedler,
born 1883 died 1977, age 94. 11. Lovell Hufstedler, died at five years
of age. 12. Henry Hubert Hufstedler, last of the family, born 1886
died 1975, age 89. Mrs. Fielden was also preceded in death by six
half-brothers, born to her father and his first wife, Martha A.
Pickett Hufstedler: 1. Joseph Franklin Hufstedler, born June 1843 died
1913, age 70. 2. John Wesley Hufstedler, born Sept. 1845 died Nov.
1883, age 70. 3. David Oliver Hufstedler, born March 1847 died Aug.
1934, age 87. 4. Peter Hufstedler (for whom no records could be
found). 5. Jacob Sloan Hufstedler, born March 1857 died Dec. 1950, age
93. 6. Samuel Moore Hufstedler, Jr., born Dec 1859 died Dec. 1950, age
93. She is survived by a son, Jeff Fielden of Rt. 2, Pocahontas; two
daughters, Mrs. Mary Hufstedler of Pocahontas and Mrs. Zeta Allison of
Oakley, Kans.; 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two
great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m.
Sunday in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Ralph Wallis
officiating. Burial followed in Old Union Cemetery with McNabb's in
charge. Pallbearers were Elton and Bill Fielden, Bill DeVault, Terry
Nelson, Willis Searight and Willard Tilley.

Adden FIELDEN was born on 2 Sep 1880 in Houston, Texas Co, MO. He died on
28 Sep 1943 in Randolph Co, AR. He was buried on 30 Sep 1943 in Randolph Co,
AR. Obituary - WILLIAM A. FIELDEN William Adden Fielden, aged 63,
prominent farmer of near Birdell, died at his home, Sept. 28, at 1:00
o'clock p.m. He was born in Missouri, Sept. 2, 1880, a son of Allen
and Effie Teague Fielden, but had made his home in Arkansas for many
years. Funeral services and interment were at Old Union Wednesday
afternoon at 4:00 o'clock by Bro. Oscar Hays of Blytheville. Mr.
Fielden had been a member of the Church of Christ for about 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Hufstedler Fielden; two
sons, Jeff and Hershel Fielden; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Hufstedler
and Mrs. Zeta Allison, all of near Birdell, and a brother. Sarah Elizabeth 'Lizzie'

Co, AR. He died on 24 Mar 1985 in Randolph Co, AR. He was buried on 26 Mar
1985 in Randolph Co, AR. W. H. FIELDEN - William Hurshell (Hutch) Fielden,
73 of Rt. 2,
Pocahontas, was dead on arrival at Randolph County Med. Center,
Sunday. He was born May 5, 1911 in Randolph County, a son of Mrs.
Elizabeth (Lizzie) Hufstedler Fielden and the late Wm. A. Fielden. In
addition to his mother who resides in Pocahontas, he is survived by
his wife, Mrs. Reo Hufstedler Fielden of the home; two sons, Elton
Fielden of Rt. 2, Pocahontas and Bill Fielden of St. Charles, Mo.;
three daughters, Mrs. Joann Smith of Pocahontas, Mrs. Betty DeVault of
El Dorado, and Mrs. Sarah Elkins of Mission Viego (sic), Calif.; a
brother, Jeff Fielden of Rt. 2, Pocahontas; two sisters, Mrs. Mary
Hufstedler of Pocahontas and Mrs. Zeta Allison of Oakley, Kans.; 11
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held
at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday at Birdell Church of Christ with Stanley Rogers
and Ralph Wallis officiating. Burial followed in Old Union Cemetery
with McNabb's in charge. Pallbearers were Dave and Jody Elkins, Von
Smith, Jim Camp, Terry Redwine and Curt Sparks.
